Spending only 2 days in Budapest should be a crime. However, I do understand if you’re just passing through or you’re pressed for time. I guess I can forgive you if that’s the case; but don’t let it happen again.
I have always wanted to visit a country during one of their national holidays. Normally my vacations have never really lined up that perfect. Luckily I ended up being able to celebrate August 20th in Budapest for St. Stephen’s Day.
Some cities are known for their food, some cities are known for their sights, and some cities are known for their ability to keep you buzzed 24/7 and partying for almost every waking hour that you’re there. Budapest, Hungary is surely one of those places.
Budapest is very well known for their Thermal Baths, Sparty, Sziget Festival, and Ruin Pubs. However one of their funnest and most adventurous activities still seems to be bit of a hidden treasure(literally). Those same hot springs that supply the thermal baths have also formed miles and miles of caves under Buda.
Going to a cemetery might not be on the top of too many people’s lists of things to see when visiting a new place. Regardless, if you’re in Budapest, Hungary the Kerepesi Cemetery is an absolute Must-See!
