Europe Central Europe Croatia Destinations France Italy Spain Switzerland Western Europe

Reaching speeds of 100 mph with only a harness and a wire keeping you from certain death.
That’s the type of zip lining I want to experience.

Zip lines can be found all throughout Europe.
I had a good time zip lining at Seilpark Interlaken in Switzerland.
Even though it was a lot of fun, it’s not what I’d consider one of the best zip lines in Europe.

Making the grade for best zip lines requires Speed, Length, Height, and Scenery.

The Fastest, Longest, and Best Zip Lines in Europe.

Zip World Velocity 2.

best zip lines in Europe. Zip World Velocity zip line going over rock quarry in Wales.

While traveling at that speed you’re also covering 5,101 feet of ground.
Velocity 2 is easily one of the best zip lines in Europe.

The Zip World website also has many other activities to choose from.
Yet it’s the Velocity 2 that is their main attraction for adrenaline junkies.

Not the longest or the fastest, but the BIGGEST.
The reason for this is the sheer size of the area that you’ll be covering.

Average time for completion takes about 90 minutes.

Adrenaline Extreme Adventures.

The zip line runs for 4,265 feet as it crosses the Savoie region to a 9,843 foot peak in Val Thorens – the highest ski area in Europe.
At its top speed it reaches 62 mph carrying skiers between the Maurienne and Tarentaise valleys.

This is a fun zip line for a few reasons:
1. You start in Spain and end in Portugal.
2. You travel back in time(literally).
Portugal is an hour behind Spain, so you gain time flying into Portugal.
3. You cross over the Guadiana River.

The new zipline in Flaam, Norway is probably the one with the greatest scenery. I will try this later this summer.

This might sound like an oxymoron, but I’m going to be taking a river cruise through Europe, starting in Budapest and ending in Amsterdam. I am wondering if there are any ziplines located along the way? I’ll be happy to share locations of different stops along the way, but thought I would see if anyone knows about any new lines that have opened in 2019-2020.
